Hello everyone!

My name is Lianna McLernon, and to say that I'm Theater Mu's Marketing & Communications Director is basically a dream come true.

Although I liked doing theater in high school, I discovered later that I loved writing about it—first as an intern at Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, then as an editor at Greenspring Media, and now as a blogger on a site I started while working at my former employer, CIDRAP News. I've been lucky to get acquainted with a good number of Twin Cities theaters, but Theater Mu in particular inspires me because of how it connects with its community beyond the stage while still being rooted in high-quality art that highlights what the Asian American experience is and could be. It's an amazing organization with a vital mission, and I hope to reach new audiences while nurturing the relationships we already have.

Outside of typing on a computer, I love figure skating, so you can see me on the ice about three times a week (sorry if I scratch the surface trying to learn my latest spin!). I’m also a big fan of bouldering, doodling, eating popcorn and desserts, and pretending I'm not allergic to my friends' cats.
