Founded on the pillars of art, equity, and social justice, Mu believes that art is for all and should reflect the world around us. We believe that art has the power to change hearts, minds, and lives. And we believe that the voices and stories that have been ignored deserve to be in the spotlight.

With the help of donors and supporters like you, we not only tell stories from the heart of the Asian American experience, but we also:

• Prioritize accessibility through our Pay As You Are ticketing program and our captioned, audio-described, and ASL interpreted performances.

• Care for our artists by providing a competitive living wage, understudies for both actors and crew, paid playwrights’ cohorts, and paid on-the-job training.

• Put our community first through our school residencies, organizational partnerships, youth summer camp, and more.

Our audiences have called Mu a “powerful force in bringing the Asian American experience to life on stage.” Our artists say that Mu is a place where “they are treated like family.” What impact has Theater Mu had on your life?
