ABOUT MUSE

MUSE is a weekly high school theater program for Twin Cities metro students in grades 9-12 to develop theater skills, learn about career opportunities, and connect with the local theater community. MUSE members

  • advance their theater skills across performance and design.

  • connecte with professional theaters and theatermakers while learning about careers and opportunities in the theater industry.

  • increase their knowledge of Asian American history, theater history, and literature.

  • gaine a closer relationship with Theater Mu, the Midwest’s largest Asian American theater.

MUSE meets every Monday from Sept 14 through Dec 14, 5-7 pm, at the Mu Studio, with additional outings across the Twin Cities focused on theater, art, and cultural heritage.

Applications for our Fall 2026 cohort open in July. Fill out the interest form below and we will be in touch!

Mu was born out of a need for AAPI representation in American theater, and we represent the Asian American diaspora, honoring our identity as Asian Americans while also respecting our diverse backgrounds and experiences. Our past participants have specifically pointed out the joy of sharing theater with other AAPI budding artists, and for this reason, we will prioritize students who identify as Asian or Asian American for enrollment.
