OBIE AWARD WINNING ASIAN AMERICAN CLASSIC
Following our hugely successful state-wide tour of Chinese restaurants, Mu’s production returns to Minneapolis for a 3-week run at Mixed Blood Theatre.
Hwang’s landmark 1979 play deftly explores relationships and conflicts between established ABC (American Born Chinese) and FOB (Fresh Off the Boat) newcomers. The production stars Randy Reyes, Meghan Kreidler, and Michael Sung-Ho and follows Mu’s recent productions of other David Henry Hwang plays including Yellow Face (2010) and his adaptation of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Flower Drum Song (2009).
Don’t miss this lively gem from the beginning days of the Asian American theater movement as Theater Mu transforms Mixed Blood Theatre into a Chinese restaurant.
