INTRODUCTION TO MUSICAL THEATER
with KATIE BRADLEY
AN IN-PERSON COURSE FOR MUSICAL PERFORMERS
Do you love musical theater? Do you love to sing but lack the confidence to audition for a show? In this introductory class, we will be interpreting and rehearsing songs and scenes found in the musical theater canon. Working with an accompanist, we will look at vocal technique and focus on bringing out the meaning within the lyrics. We will also touch upon how to prepare an audition book and beginning movement techniques (for those daunting dance calls).
Classes will meet in person Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:00 PM, beginning August 16 and ending on September 9.
Enrollment is limited to 10 participants age 16+ on a first-come-first-serve basis. This class is specifically designed for participants of color.
Your regular attendance at every session ensures the success of you and your fellow classmates.
