HOME / PRODUCTION HISTORY /MUTE-ABLE
Synopsis
Join us for an evening of solo performances from these two amazing artists from California. Mu called for proposals from around the country and selected Shishir Kurup and Sheetal Gandhi to come and share their work in the Twin Cities.
The show opens with Shishir Kurup’s “Sharif Don’t Like It,” a humorous and yet haunting journey of what it means to be held suspect in America. Sheetal Gandhi brings us her unique storytelling in the form of dance, movement, and song in her piece “Bahu-Beti-Biwi” (Daughter-in-law, Daughter, Wife). See the video below for a taste of the performance.
