Theater Mu hosting General Auditions for 2021/22 Season
Actors! We’d love to get to know you!
If you’re a local Asian American, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander actor, we’d love to consider you for our 2021/22 season. We’re looking for both AEA and non-union actors who live in the Twin Cities for our mainstage productions, readings, workshops, corporate events, and family and educational programs. We welcome AANHPI actors of all ages, genders, backgrounds, and abilities. (For AEA actors: Theater Mu is on an SPT6 contract for our mainstage productions.) LOCATION
Auditions will take place in person at Theater Mu’s studio located at 755 Prior Ave. N, Ste 107, Saint Paul, MN 55104.
We’re in the same building as Can Can Wonderland and BlackStack Brewing. Parking is available on the street or in the dirt lot across the street. Please use the entrance on Prior Ave in the parking lot closest to the green water tower. We’ll post signs to help you find our studio.
SIGN-UP INSTRUCTIONS
Sign up for an audition slot.
Please prepare 2 contrasting monologues, or 1 monologue and 1 song, not to exceed 3 minutes total. If you don’t have two monologues, we’ll also have monologues available at the audition for cold reads. For singers, an accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music of the cut of your song. If you play an instrument and would like to accompany yourself, you’re welcome to do that too.

COVID POLICY
To continue our efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we ask that you wear a mask inside our building regardless of vaccination status. You may take their mask off in the audition room during your time slot. Theater Mu staff will also be wearing masks.
CAN’T MAKE IT?
If you have housing in the Twin Cities and can be considered a local hire but you’re not available to attend, you are welcome to submit your audition via video. Please fill out our audition form and email your video link to info@theatermu.org by August 18, 2021.
