SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNITy GUIDELINES

Theater Mu's social media accounts (currently on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) are meant to be a place for local, national, and international followers to make space and celebrate Asian and Asian American experiences by engaging with Theater Mu's artists, programming, and communications. We love when people like, comment on, and share our posts—or create their own content about our organization. We also want to keep our social media a positive and safe forum.

Be kind, polite, and have fun.

Our social media accounts are made in part to help celebrate and amplify the Asian and Asian American experience, particularly as it relates to theater, so please engage and enjoy! While you do so, please remember to treat others as you'd like to be treated.

Respect the artists and staff involved in the work.

Comments with inappropriate content will not be tolerated. This can include, but is not limited to, comments that:

bully, harass, threaten, defame, or slander.
mislead or state information that is false, inaccurate, or misleading.
contain racist, discriminatory, or prejudiced language.
contain obscene, profane, vulgar, or offensive language.

Our artists, volunteers, and staff put a lot of time and passion into their work at Theater Mu, and we want to respect their efforts.

No third-party promotions, off-topic comments, or spam.

This could also include unauthorized ticket resales. Theater Mu offers exchanges and full ticket refunds for our events, so if you can no longer attend, please contact us at info@theatermu.org so we can put your ticket back into the general ticket pool. That way, we can make the event as accessible as possible to those who do want to attend.

Our team reserves the right to reject or remove any comments made on our posts that don't adhere to our community values and guidelines, and if necessary, we also reserve the right to block people.
